🍝 Frank Caprio’s Famous Homemade Meatballs
Tender, juicy, and packed with flavor—these classic Italian-style meatballs are crispy on the outside and melt-in-your-mouth soft inside. Perfect with pasta or served on their own!

🧾 Ingredients
- 1 lb (500g) ground beef (or mix beef & pork)
- 1/2 cup breadcrumbs
- 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1/4 cup fresh parsley, chopped
- 1 egg
- 1/4 cup milk
- 1 tsp salt
- 1/2 tsp black pepper
- 1/2 tsp Italian seasoning
- Olive oil (for frying)

🍅 Optional Sauce
- 2 cups tomato sauce
- 1 tbsp olive oil
- 1 clove garlic
- Salt & pepper
👨🍳 Instructions
1. Prepare the mixture
In a large bowl, combine ground meat, breadcrumbs, Parmesan, garlic, parsley, egg, milk, and seasonings.
Mix gently (don’t overwork it).
2. Shape meatballs
Form medium-sized balls (about golf-ball size).
3. Cook
Heat olive oil in a pan over medium heat.
Fry meatballs until browned on all sides (about 8–10 minutes).
4. Simmer (optional but recommended)
Add tomato sauce to the pan and let meatballs simmer for 10–15 minutes for extra flavor and tenderness.
5. Serve
Serve hot with pasta, bread, or on their own with extra sauce 🍝
💡 Tips
- Mix beef + pork for juicier meatballs
- Don’t overmix to keep them soft
- Add a little cheese inside for a gooey center 🧀
- Bake option: 200°C (400°F) for 20 minutes
