📝 Homemade Soft Butter Biscuits

🧾 Ingredients
- 2 cups (250g) all-purpose flour
- 1 tbsp baking powder
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 2 tbsp sugar (optional)
- 100g cold butter (cubed)
- 3/4 cup (180ml) milk
- 1 egg (for brushing)

- Mix dry ingredients
- In a bowl, combine flour, baking powder, salt, and sugar.
- Add butter
- Add cold butter cubes.
- Rub with your fingers until mixture looks like crumbs.
- Add milk
- Pour in milk gradually and mix until a soft dough forms.
- Do not overmix.
- Shape dough
- Roll dough to about 2 cm thickness.
- Cut into rounds using a cutter or glass.
- Prepare for baking
- Place on baking tray lined with parchment paper.
- Brush tops with beaten egg.
- Bake
- Preheat oven to 180°C (350°F).
- Bake for 15–20 minutes until golden.
