- 8 pork sausages (Italian, bratwurst, or your favorite variety)
- 3 large onions, thinly sliced
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 cup (240 ml) beef broth
- 1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
- 1 tbsp Dijon mustard
- 1 tbsp brown sugar
- 1 tsp dried thyme
- 1/2 tsp black pepper
- 1 tbsp cornstarch
- 2 tbsp cold water
- Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)

- Brown the sausages in a skillet over medium-high heat for 3β4 minutes per side. This step adds extra flavor but can be skipped if you’re short on time.
- Place the sliced onions and garlic in the bottom of the slow cooker.
- Arrange the browned sausages on top of the onions.
- In a bowl, whisk together the beef broth, Worcestershire sauce, Dijon mustard, brown sugar, thyme, and black pepper.
- Pour the mixture over the sausages and onions.
- Cover and cook on Low for 6β8 hours or High for 3β4 hours, until the sausages are cooked through and the onions are tender.
- Mix the cornstarch and cold water to make a slurry. Stir it into the slow cooker during the last 20β30 minutes of cooking to thicken the gravy.
- Garnish with fresh parsley before serving.
