Cheesy Meatloaf with Mashed Potatoes – Recipe Only

Ingredients:

  • 1.5 lb ground beef
  • 1/2 cup breadcrumbs
  • 1/4 cup milk
  • 1 small onion, chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 egg
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp black pepper
  • 1 tsp Worcestershire sauce (optional)
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1/2 cup ketchup or tomato sauce
  • 4–5 medium potatoes, peeled and cubed
  • 1/4 cup butter
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Parsley for garnish (optional)

Instructions:

  1. Boil potatoes until tender; mash with butter, milk, salt, and pepper.
  2. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
  3. Mix ground beef, breadcrumbs, milk, onion, garlic, egg, salt, pepper, and Worcestershire sauce.
  4. Spread mashed potatoes in a baking dish, place meat mixture on top, spread ketchup, and top with cheese.
  5. Bake 35–45 minutes until cooked through and cheese is melted.
  6. Garnish with parsley and serve.
