
Italian Sausage with Peppers and Onions 🌶️🌭
Ingredients
- 1 lb (450 g) Italian sausage (sweet or hot)
- 2 tbsp olive oil
- 2 bell peppers (red & green), sliced
- 1 large onion, sliced
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- Salt & black pepper, to taste
- ½ tsp dried oregano or Italian seasoning
- Optional: crushed red pepper flakes
Instructions
- Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat.
- Brown sausages on all sides, then remove and set aside.
- In the same skillet, sauté onions and peppers until soft and slightly caramelized.
- Add garlic, oregano, salt, and pepper; cook 1 minute.
- Return sausages to the pan, cover, and simmer 10–15 minutes until cooked through.
- Slice sausages if desired and serve hot.
