
Ingredients
For the Potato Dough:
- 2 cups (500 g) mashed potatoes (cooled)
- 1 egg
- 2 tbsp oil or melted butter
- 1 tsp salt
- 1 tsp baking powder
- 1½–2 cups (190–250 g) all-purpose flour
For the Filling:
- 1½ cups cooked chicken, finely chopped
- ½ small onion, finely diced
- ½ cup shredded cheese (optional)
- Salt & pepper to taste
- 1 tbsp oil
Instructions
- Prepare filling:
Heat oil in a pan. Sauté onion until soft. Add chopped chicken, season with salt and pepper. Cook 2–3 minutes. Let cool. Stir in cheese if using. - Make dough:
In a bowl, mix mashed potatoes, egg, oil, salt, and baking powder.
Gradually add flour until a soft, non-sticky dough forms. - Shape rolls:
Roll dough into a rectangle (about ¼ inch thick).
Spread chicken filling evenly.
Roll up tightly like a log. - Bake:
Place seam-side down on a lined baking sheet.
Brush with a little milk or egg wash.
Bake at 375°F (190°C) for 25–30 minutes until golden. - Serve:
Let cool slightly, then slice into rolls.
