Stuffing Balls with Gravy

Ingredients:

  • 2 cups prepared stuffing (bread stuffing mix)
  • 1 cup cooked chicken, finely chopped (optional but common)
  • 1 stalk celery, finely chopped
  • 2 green onions, sliced
  • 1 egg
  • 2–3 tbsp melted butter
  • Salt and black pepper, to taste

For the gravy:

  • 1 cup chicken broth
  • 2 tbsp butter
  • 2 tbsp flour
  • Salt and pepper, to taste

Instructions:

  1. In a bowl, mix stuffing, chicken, celery, green onions, egg, butter, salt, and pepper until well combined.
  2. Form into balls.
  3. Heat a lightly oiled pan and cook balls over medium heat, turning, until golden and heated through (or bake at 180°C / 350°F for 20–25 minutes).
  4. For gravy: melt butter, stir in flour, cook 1 minute. Gradually whisk in broth. Simmer until thickened. Season to taste.
  5. Drizzle gravy over stuffing balls and serve warm.
