🧾 Ingredients

For the Beef Stew:

  • 700g beef chunks (chuck or stew meat)
  • 1 onion (chopped)
  • 2 cloves garlic (minced)
  • 2 tbsp flour
  • 2 tbsp oil
  • 2 cups beef broth
  • 1 tbsp tomato paste
  • 1 tsp paprika
  • 1/2 tsp black pepper
  • 1/2 tsp salt (adjust to taste)
  • 1 tsp thyme (or mixed herbs)
  • 1 tbsp soy sauce (optional, for depth)

For Mashed Potatoes:

  • 4 large potatoes (peeled & chopped)
  • 2 tbsp butter
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • Salt to taste

For Cabbage:

  • 1/2 cabbage (finely chopped)
  • 1 tbsp butter
  • Salt & pepper
  • 1 tbsp olive oil

👩‍🍳 Instructions

1. Prepare the Beef Stew

  • Heat oil in a pot and brown the beef on all sides.
  • Remove and set aside.
  • In the same pot, sauté onion until soft, then add garlic.
  • Stir in tomato paste and cook for 1 minute.
  • Sprinkle flour and mix well.
  • Gradually add beef broth while stirring to avoid lumps.
  • Add paprika, thyme, salt, pepper, and soy sauce.
  • Return beef to the pot, cover, and simmer on low heat for 1.5–2 hours until tender and sauce thickens.

2. Make Mashed Potatoes

  • Boil potatoes in salted water until soft (15–20 minutes).
  • Drain and mash with butter and milk.
  • Season with salt and mix until smooth and creamy.

3. Cook the Cabbage

  • Heat butter and olive oil in a pan.
  • Add cabbage, salt, and pepper.

4. Assemble
