🍞 Ultra Soft Milk Bread Rolls (Fluffy & Buttery)
These homemade milk bread rolls are incredibly soft, fluffy, and slightly sweet with a beautiful golden top. Perfect for breakfast, sandwiches, or as a side!

🧾 Ingredients
- 4 cups (500g) all-purpose flour
- 2 1/4 tsp (1 packet) dry yeast
- 1 cup (240ml) warm milk
- 1/4 cup (50g) sugar
- 1/4 cup (60g) butter, melted
- 1 egg
- 1 tsp salt
✨ Topping:
- 1 egg yolk + 1 tbsp milk (for brushing)
- Sesame seeds (optional)
👨🍳 Instructions
1. Activate yeast
In a bowl, mix warm milk, yeast, and 1 tbsp sugar.
Let sit 5–10 minutes until foamy.
2. Make the dough
Add remaining sugar, egg, melted butter, and salt.
Gradually add flour and mix until a soft dough forms.
3. Knead
Knead for 8–10 minutes until smooth and elastic.
4. First rise
Cover and let rise for 1–1.5 hours until doubled in size.
5. Shape
Divide dough into equal portions and shape into smooth balls.
Place in a greased baking dish close to each other.
6. Second rise
Cover and let rise again for 30–40 minutes.
7. Bake
- Preheat oven to 180°C (350°F)
- Brush with egg wash and sprinkle sesame seeds
- Bake for 20–25 minutes until golden brown
8. Serve
Brush with a little butter after baking for extra softness ✨
