🐖🍳 Braised Pork Belly with Eggs (Sticky & Savory)
📌 Description
Rich, tender pork belly slowly braised in a flavorful soy-based sauce with soft, juicy eggs. Sticky, glossy, and absolutely irresistible—perfect with steamed rice!

🧾 Ingredients
- 700g pork belly (cut into chunks)
- 5–6 boiled eggs (peeled)
- 3 tbsp soy sauce
- 1 tbsp dark soy sauce (for color)
- 2 tbsp sugar (or honey)
- 1 tbsp oyster sauce
- 3 cloves garlic (minced)
- 1 tsp black pepper
- 1–2 dried chilies (optional)
- 1 tbsp oil
- 1 1/2 cups water
👩🍳 Instructions
- Boil pork (optional but recommended)
- Boil pork belly for 10 minutes, then drain and rinse.
- Sear pork
- Heat oil in a pan.
- Fry pork pieces until slightly golden.
- Caramelize sugar
- Add sugar and let it melt slightly for a caramel effect.
- Add flavor
- Add garlic, soy sauces, oyster sauce, pepper, and chilies.
- Mix well.
- Simmer
- Pour in water and bring to a boil.
- Add boiled eggs.
- Cover and simmer for 40–50 minutes.
- Reduce sauce
- Uncover and cook until sauce thickens and becomes glossy.
- Serve
- Serve hot over steamed rice.

💡 Tips
- Cook longer for ultra-soft pork
- Add star anise for extra aroma
