Ginger, Hibiscus & Bay Leaf Herbal Drink
This refreshing herbal drink combines hibiscus flowers, ginger, bay leaves, and lime. While these ingredients may support overall health, there is no scientific evidence that this drink can eliminate high blood pressure, diabetes, poor circulation, swelling, or cholesterol. It can be enjoyed as part of a balanced diet.

Ingredients
- 2 cups dried hibiscus flowers (roselle)
- 1 medium fresh ginger root, sliced
- 5–6 bay leaves
- 1 lime or lemon, sliced
- 6 cups water
- Honey or natural sweetener (optional)
Instructions
Step 1: Prepare the Ingredients
- Rinse the hibiscus flowers thoroughly.
- Wash and slice the ginger root.
- Rinse the bay leaves and lime.
Step 2: Boil
- Pour 6 cups of water into a large pot.
- Add the ginger and bay leaves.
- Bring to a boil and simmer for 10 minutes.
Step 3: Add Hibiscus
- Add the hibiscus flowers.
- Simmer for another 10–15 minutes until the water turns deep red.
Step 4: Steep
- Remove from heat.
- Add the lime slices.
- Cover and let steep for 10 minutes.
Step 5: Strain & Serve
- Strain the liquid into a pitcher.
- Sweeten with honey if desired.
- Serve warm or chilled over ice.
Storage
Store in the refrigerator for up to 4 days in a sealed container.
